About ABG

We are innovative, passionate businesses driving a thriving local community

Strategic Plan

Encourage people to visit and stay longer
We want Adamstown to be a place where people want to visit, attend events, hang out and be a part of the local community. We are focused on aspects that enable people to feel safe while having spaces to socialise. This requires good urban design facilitated in partnership with the local community, government and businesses.

Enable the movement of people and logistics around the suburb
We assist local businesses and the community to identify opportunities to improve parking, footpaths, bike paths, access to logistics and reduce traffic congestion. We champion these needs to assist in driving change.

A positive & constructive relationship with our Council will result in the best outcomes
We pro-actively engage with the Newcastle City Council (NCC) and regularly invite our Ward 2 Councillors to meet with our local businesses and seek support for our initiatives. We promote Adamstown as a valuable part of Newcastle and a location of choice for piloting new initiatives with the Council.

Focus on improving the aesthetics of Adamstown
While our main street is charming it’s looking a little shabby. Work with local businesses, property owners and new developments to invest in their facades. Work with Council via the local centres program.

Bring local businesses together
Provide opportunities for Adamstown business owners and their employees to come together to socialise, network and access relevant information or stakeholders in the community for their businesses.
